My wife and I would like to visit Yellowstone Nat'l Park in Sept. or May for sightseeing and photography. I have an 18-140mm, a Tamron 150-600mm, and Nikon D7200, so my camera gear is set. We are looking for a practical and economical way to travel. We want take a plane from Florida to ? (advise), rent a car, find lodging. For the opportunity to see wildlife, should we travel from the south (Tetons) or from the north? Should we stay inside or outside the park?
Thanks for your UHH suggestions.

Why did you get rid of it?

I was not using it enough to justify keeping it. It needed a better home.

I had the Sigma 8-16mm and liked it a lot.

I bought Fluid Mask 3 last month for $49.00 through the PhotoWhoa web site. I subscribe to their newsletter and they sent me a notice of the sale.

Thanks, I thought I saw that notice a week or two ago.

P.S. I bought a SuperGlide when they were first introduced.

I downloaded the free 30 day trial of Fluid Mask 3 from Vertus.
Nice program, but at $150 the price is kind of stiff. Does anyone know if
it ever goes on sale or anyway to get a better price?

If you delete or rename the lock file, Lightroom will continue to default to your new catalog on open, so you will need to tell Lightroom to open your old catalog file - go to Lightroom/File/Open Catalog or Lightroom/File/Open Recent and select your old catalog, from then on it will remember.

Thanks to all. Your information was correct. The problem is solved.
I lost some Develop settings, but not too much.

Go to the folder where your Lightroom catalog is, look for a file with the same name, but a .lock extension, delete it. Lightroom should now open.

I was able to open Lightroom with a different catalog, but it appears that
the .lock catalog has my most recent changes that were not backed up.
Is there a way to unlock the .lock extension?

My computer crashed while Lightroom CC was open. After my system restarted, I tried to reload Lightroom, but got an error message "cannot open My Pictures catalog because a previous version is still open." To open Lightroom I need to create a new catalog, but I'll lose all my development adjustments and keywords; about five thousand!! How do I fix this?
