I did take a few as the sun was going down,, but I liked the lighted effects too.

It got all the way up to 6 degrees F yesterday, so I decided
to go downtown to the Winter Carnival to see if I could get a few shots of the Ice Sculptures,, fun, ,but CHILLY!!

There is a section on the home page for introducing yourself, and I would encourage you to post over there as well.
Read through the comments on the pictures out here on the Post your photo pages and you will see that for the most part,, this site is not like the "elitist" photography sites,,, where everyone is bashing everyone else's efforts. The people here have been quite friendly and have offered great advice and any criticism has always been with an educational flair,, and "Friendly"
I hope you have the same experience here that I have enjoyed for the year and a half or so that I have been out here.

A nice sunrise over the frozen lake near my home this morning.
Thanks RegisG,, you are correct,, the wind was super strong from the south,, at 17 degrees,, it was a bit chilly out there shooting,,

The smaller lakes are all frozen over now,, I guess Winter is here, lol
