Don't get an ordinary prop driven airplane - go to the top and get the big Lear Jet.
Don't waste productive photo time with a slow airplane.

Winter in Chicago

Great shot of a great city. I travelled to Chicago quite a bit in my working days. Here is a shot taken from an airplane as we approached Ohare on November 25, 2004.

PS -- Many of my trips there in the winter were greeted by snow!

My name is Karen and I received my first camera when I was in 5th grade from my parents. I knew that I wanted to take pictures. After receiving my polaroid I took over as family photographer from my dad. When I was 20 I purchased my first 35mm a Pentak K1000 and I used it for YEARS. I was forced into the digital age when my film developer retired and now I own my first Nikon and I love it. I shot small weddings for a while and I have won a few ribbons at the local fair for my photos. I love to shoot pictures and I am excited about this website to see everyone's photo work.

Can I say "me three"? It's on all three of my computers and I haven't had any problems with any of them since I installed it.

Funny that came up today, as this morning I was reading a booklet on large format photography and they kept referring to films I never heard of. Verichrome was one of them.

Plus X and Tri X were also some of the films of that time.

Canon will void any warranty on your printer if you use a 3rd party ink.

No manufacturer can not honor a warranty if you use third party parts / supplies and have a problem that isn't related to the third party item. That would be like auto manufacturers saying you couldn't have anything done to your car unless you used their parts / supplies. That includes Canon.

The third party would be liable if their item fails or causes a problem.

Who are the good ones that match inks? I have an Epson Artisan 710.

Two of the sources that I have used and guarantee their product are LDProducts.com and InkJetSuperstore.com
Their prices are a significant savings versus the manufacturers.

Do you have a Cartridge World near you? They refill cartridges for a lot less than buying new and you get to reuse insteead of trashing. If they don't have one maybe you could look into the franchise and open one yourself

My take: NEVER! --well, ok, never say never-- use 3rd party inks!
I've tried them and within six months they turned a sickening smudge.

It's a bad place to save money.

It depends on who you buy the third party cartridges from. Some fill all brands with the same inks. The good ones match the manufacturers ink formula and you can't tell the difference.
I have been using third party inks (when you could refill the Canon ink tanks) and cartridges for over 10 years and haven't had anyone that could tell the difference.

Hi Capsar Good color and contrast. I would just level it some to the brick lines.

Looking at the very top of the picture the mortar line is right on.
I think that the downward angle and a wide lens makes the rest of the brick lines look distorted and bent. The lower you look on the sides of the picture you can see the bend.

I prefer Outdoor Photography to own. I read PP at library.

I like to rip interesting/reference pages out of my mags and file them away. My library keeps telling me not to do that.

Did you ever think that you could take a picture of the article and leave the page in the magazine for the next guy to rip out?
