I agree about the contemplative approach to photography. This is the most important aspect of photography for me. Everyone needs to stop shooting so much and inundating the world with your poor photography.

Leaves for Thursday
I like the crinkled leaf.
I use the sony rx10 mk3 and it is wonderful. Shooting raw makes a big difference if you're going to post-process, which I do all the time. That is why I use a camera. That range it has has changed my photography style in fact. It makes me think in terms of composition and compression of the scene. Have fun.
I sure agree. Print is it! I am fortunate to have a lot of wall space and I fill it as much as possible. I hope to have a show right in my apartment of prints, plus wife's ceramics. We will have an open house and just put up promo signs in the neighborhood. Nothing like Times Square! One block away.
I have had the Sony RX10MK3 for a couple of years and she does a great job and with shooting RAW I can get 13 x 19" blow ups. They will soon be coming out with the RX10MK5 so wait and see.
What is all this pixel counting for! I use a sony rx10MK3 and I get real fine 13 x 19 blowups. When you are going to print, people don't stand a foot from the print to see. They stand 6' away as protocol dictates. Relax everyone.
love that big engine. super shots.
the lighting is too harsh for a flower.
Folks you don't have to plug any of your storage drives in, no matter what type. Just plug in when needed. I found that out recently.
I would rather have my external hard drives divided into a couple or three and smaller. There is always time machine to recover.
I have been using the sony rx10 mk3 for a few years now and it does a real good job in many situations. The 1" sensor does a respectable job in low light and if I need to boost the iso up I can always denoise in post. That great zoom is a wonder and just so you are resting on a solid object you'll be sharp. I have shot tight images of the empire state bldg from 1/2 mile away and came out with great images. You can also double the zoom range to give you 1200 mm telephoto. There is much to learn with these bridge cameras and I have barely touched the surface. You need to read the on line manual.
our empire state bldg on the 4th of July at 600 mm from 1/2 mile away.
