a night image I shot of some locomotives sitting idle after delivering a 137 car coal train to a Power Plant in Olive TWP. Michigan.

Pain in the butt to shoot it and get the correct colors since the lighting was a mix of Quartz Halogen, High Pressure Sodium, and Mercury Vapor overhead lights.

I am not a great train fan but this one is very good. I like the way you have the star burst from the light.

Yep, it was snowing and very cold out on Sunday.

Good shots, you would think that they would freeze, great close up with the snow on the beak.

This is the first red headed woodpecker we've seen in our area. I'm sure there are many, we were at Chester Frost Park. In the last shot he pulled a worm-like thing out of a hole he drilled in the tree, and it got stuck on his beak for a while.

Canon SX 50

Very good.

Hi Folks, just got back from a trip to Reelfoot Lake in Northeastern Tennessee. A two day trip (with my Photography Club) to photograph Eagles and other wildlife we encountered. This is a shot of one they had at the Visitor's Center. This bird was injured and was recuperating in their outdoor holding pen. They will release him back into the wild once they feel he is fully healed. But what a beautiful bird he is...!

Great shot.

I had to switch my fisheye lens to my Canon 24-105mm F4 L lens here. Otherwise the Canyon would have appeared tiny :)

Very nice. Great view.

You got some real eye-poppers here, Val! I love the shot of the baby owl! Adorable! Excellent work on them all.

Thanks very much Treepusher, glad you like them. Did you see the ones posted later on in the thread of the baby with my friend? :D
