This went on for a while. The eagle in the distance tree then flew off and returned after a while with a fish. The eagle with the fish then circled around the tree with the juvenile about 4 times and then, flew to the nest. The adult was trying to lead the juvenile (the other one too, as it was probably close by. I never did see it).
Well, the juveniles never returned to the nest. The one juvenile that was in the right tree flew over to the tree that the adult had been in.
After some calling, the adult in the nest with the fish, picked up the fish and flew and circled around the tree about three times and then landed close to the river’s edge (out of our site). From the fence line, you can’t see the river. The couple I know have photographed these adult eagles for eleven seasons. They commented that, they have never seen an adult eagle remove a fish or any kind of food from the nest.
I have never seen a fish used to lure a juvenile to do anything. So, this was a very different event for me to watch and exciting to watch!
Later, the adult returned to the tree that the juvenile was in, with the same or another fish. Flew around several times and landed in the middle area of the tree where the juvenile was now. I had been seeing wings flapping down in the center area of the tree. This happened about 11am. The juveniles have not eaten since the previous day.
Things remained quiet for a while. I needed to head back home and left.
I did hear later that both juveniles did return back to the nest about 5:30 that evening.
This following image is when the adult first brought the fish to the nest. I guess I had my settings on manual and didn’t correct……..Nuts!
Wanted to post anyway as bad as it is, as this was a pretty good size fish.

I managed to sneak out of the house fairly early this morning. This particular marsh is about a 3 minute drive from the house - we can see it from our back windows.

There isn't as easy way to get shots of the water birds in the morning without having them back lit, but it continues to be an absorbing challenge and can make them look rather dramatic.

See what you think and feel free to offer suggestions. I'm continuing to learn from everyone and appreciate all of the help I can get.

A Snowy Owl landed on my roof this afternoon and stayed for 3 1/2 hours and about 350 shots. It was being harassed by crows most of the time it was there.

Great eye in no 3, you were very lucky to have him stay that long and be able to get great pictures.

I shot this bird back at the beginning of February. He ( she? ) was quite shy and it was impossible to get him in a clear line of sight. This was as good as it got and he was gone again in seconds. I was shooting some BIF and noticed him standing there waiting for a handout. I had managed to swing over, focus and snap. He took the proffered snack and ran. Other birders were asking, "You got him?" "Almost." "Better than I ever got." Oh, well...

So. Crappy? Yeah. Will this ever sell or be hung on the wall? No. But I got something and I'd rather have it than nothing.

I like this shot, The main bird is in focus and the small branches do not cover his eye, there are some interesting shadows on his chest. The picture as a whole shows the environment that he was in. I would keep it.....

The Mexican Maid

The Mexican maid asked for a pay increase.
The wife was very upset about this, and decided to talk to her about the raise.

She asked: "Now Maria, why do you want a pay increase?"

Maria: "Well, Senora, there are three reasons why I wanna increaze."
"The first is that I iron better than you."

Wife: "Who said you iron better than me?"

Maria: "Jor huzban, he say so."

Wife: "Oh yeah?"

Maria: "The second reason eez that I am better cook than you."

Wife: "Nonsense, who said you were a better cook than me?"

Maria: "Jor hozban deed."

Wife, increasingly agitated: "Oh he did, did he?"

Maria: "The third reason eez that I am better at sex dan you in da bed."

Wife, really boiling now and through gritted teeth: "And did my husband say that as well?"

Maria: "No Senora...."The gardener deed."

Wife: "So, how much do you want?"
