I managed to sneak out of the house fairly early this morning. This particular marsh is about a 3 minute drive from the house - we can see it from our back windows.

There isn't as easy way to get shots of the water birds in the morning without having them back lit, but it continues to be an absorbing challenge and can make them look rather dramatic.

See what you think and feel free to offer suggestions. I'm continuing to learn from everyone and appreciate all of the help I can get.

Ol' Frank Loc: Orlando,

Those are great shots, back light and all. I don't think you should change anything.

Your tip for the manual settings is really helping. Now, send me more egrets please...ones that don't fly away as soon as I show up! :-)
