I was shooting from a footbridge that was quite a bit higher than the stream. The tide wouldn't have gotten us, but it would have wrecked the balanced rocks. :-)

I should have made my self a bit clearer, I meant good job you got the picture before the tide washed the rocks away. :oops:
this is a lovely rendition,nanval! I have had amaryllis in the past but never got a photograph that I was pleased with. I love the white background and your work on this!
Thank you carlysue I have had them before but was not into photography at the time. I took this from below against a plain wall and cut it out, put it on a slightly off white background and added a filter. Glad you like it and thanks for looking.
My wife were at our city's "Town Center" early this morning, to help as course marshals for the annual Run For You Life 5 and 10K runs. It was overcast, and when the sun started to come out, we got this awesome display of sun rays.
I only had my PowerShot A1400 with me, so this is the best I could do.
