Cheers Infocus and thanks for looking I always appreciate it.Glad you liked it.To be honest I was going to delete it but I tried the PP and was a bit happier with the result.I've just added the original on Curs post.

I can see why you did pp work on it. But normally your photos do not need any filters as they are great as they are. :D :D (Wish I could get bifs as good as you.)

So sorry angler but I do not like this one. I think the pp work on it takes away the cuteness of the bird and it makes it look odd as there are smooth bits and curly bits. Your pictures are great, especially your bif. I would love to see the original picture as I am sure it is very good.

These are a few from a day cruising the St. Johns River in Florida with a friend who knows it well. It was a perfect day.

All taken with a Nikon D800 and Sigma 150-500mm lens, handheld, and processed Lightroom 5. These are reduced size jpegs as the originals are in RAW.

What a great set of pictures and it looks to be a good place to go. Is no 4 saying "no pictures please".

Is it OK to take a lady of 40, willing to go through a session of makeup and photography, and then change her appearance this much?

In this lady's case, its a friend that has had some challenges in life and we thought we would try and let her see herself in another way. Bad skin happens to most at some point in their lives so that was an obvious edit.

But the rest, do you think it oversteps the mark? I know magazines and movies and every other media out there does it for paid models, but is it fair to the average you and me?

Oh, and comments on the actual photos are welcome too!

(And I do think she is a stunning person anyway - photos aside)

What I like about this set of pictures is that with the pp on the finished pictures she is not made to be something she is not. Ie there are still lines on the face and it looks more natural than flawless like they do with celebs who are taken to the extreme.

I have him stymied at the moment. He's stolen the Crown Jewels, in cahoots with Tippit, Hector, and Bumpy. But the Cat's Eye Diamond he took with him to England is a fake, and surprise, surprise, no Ultimate Power for him today.

I've hidden the genuine Cat's Eye Diamond here where he'll never find it, and he's come home, playing nice in the hope I'll reveal the real stone's location. Time is running out before his friends turn on him, and he knows it.

Here he is, contemplating his next move in our little game of chess.

I finally bit the bullet and went full frame. After much thought and manipulation of funds, I went with a used Nikon D3 and a 24-70mm 2.8 lens. So far I really like the camera and lens. Any and all critique is welcome.

Very good set of pictures, have fun with your new camera.
