St. Johns River, FL Pontooning

These are a few from a day cruising the St. Johns River in Florida with a friend who knows it well. It was a perfect day.

All taken with a Nikon D800 and Sigma 150-500mm lens, handheld, and processed Lightroom 5. These are reduced size jpegs as the originals are in RAW.

We did have a great time. The only thing we felt we missed was some manatee. We saw a couple when we did this once before a couple of years ago but none last Thursday.

The weather was fabulous...no wind and 75 degrees. And there are NO bugs this time of year!

We live in Idaho so this is a rare treat.

What a great set of pictures and it looks to be a good place to go. Is no 4 saying "no pictures please".

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful variety of gorgeous images MtnMan. I really enjoy all of them, tell me though, in the second shot is that a small snake or a very large worm in his beak.
