Correct. They let me put my hands on a dozen brands over a period of several months without pushing me to buy a thing and were always pleasant and helpful even when they saw me back for the 20th time and figured I would never buy anything. Thanks

Yeah - thanks. Supporting local is important to me if they can deliver value and service consistently. And I will continue to support them and their families. That being said I am not unaware of being connected to a larger world and what that offers.
As Andy said to me...let my conscience be my guide. Thanks to all.

Yeah - they matched the price and threw in a few accessories of better quality and free class. Thank you.

Thank you. You have articulated all the reasons I will buy from a shop 6 minutes from my house. Appreciate your clarity on the subject.

Ok. Thanks Andy. I get you drift. Paying California sales tax has never bothered me. My concern was the cost difference between the accessories.
Appreciate your ethical concern re tax responsibility.

Thanks a lot for the quick and positive response. I'll give them both a call tomorrow.

I've finally decided to buy the Fuji X-T3 w/18-55mm - financial stretch but satisfied with choice. Dilemma is:
Local price = $1699 black body & lens + 8.75% CA sales tax - no extras, buy good people.
Adorama = same price w/ accessories bundle no tax - if I buy B4 April 15
B&H = same price + abbreviated bundle - no tax
I have never dealt with the online retailers and am a little nervous after reading a few negative reviews. Yet many of you seasoned UHHers seem to have good luck buying from online camera retailers.
Comments & Help would not be turned away.
As always many thanks.

Ravi that is quite a thorough review of the Panasonic Lumix G9 vs Olympus Mkll. Most of it was over my head. I'm not a tech giant. But it was impressive in its scope. It would be hard to go wrong with either camera. At this point both are out of my price range and skill level.
I'm having enough challenge reading the book suggested by another UHHer -
"Mastering the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Markll" by Darrell Young- which is what I will probably buy.
I appreciate you referring me to the link. Thank you

Yeah. Thanks. The scratches scare me. I am leaning towards the em5ll with a 24-150 mm for about $1k. Seems like a good start.

Thanks - I'll look at it. I'm not huge on video. I hear Panasonic excells in that area.
