Dave, Don't know how you could have done better on your posted photos. My favorite is the one that looks like a distinct vortex shape--like a tornado funnel.

For a number of years I worked 300 miles north of the Arctic Circle and saw the Aurora Borealis many times. Unfortunately, it was before digital cameras were available so I didn't have a chance to get photographs. Your photos are a beautiful reminder of this time in my life.
