I used to live in Anchorage, which is a lot like Oslo, and I found the Northern Lights
running most often between 3 - 4 am
What I'm saying is -- for best results -- set your alarm

Bummer--- but I did something real stupid, if this helps. I traveled from Chicago to New York for a total photo trip, and when I went to unpack, I had forgotten my import cord and my battery recharger and spare battery.
At least I was able to replace them.
But you live in Wasilla-- so you've got heaps of opportunity to get back out there. And who knows-- maybe that fog over the lake might be a bit more eerie.
