Found this really cool old style art deco bus depot that has been converted into a burger joint. Had to take a picture and now I hope you folks will like to too. Located in downtown Evansville Indiana (as you can see on 3rd and Sycamore).

Love it.
Thanks Richard...my thoughts too, as I shot this with the smell of burgers filling the air. A tough shot as my tummy kept growling.
way cool. only similar thing you might see today would be one of those retro-diners.
nice job.
Very nice photo James thanks for sharing. Hope all is well with you and the family saying hello from Pittsburgh.
Yes, I rode the Grey Dog a few times. But I preferred Trail Ways, not as many stops.
Came home from Fort Ord to Huntington Park on Greyhound in 66 and one of the two drivers was from Trailways (no uniform just a Greyhound hat, the other guy was Greyhound) - his line was on strike so he was doing pickup work for the Hound driving extra expresses Seattle/Fort Lewis to San Diego and back. Several battalions of us from Southern California had just graduated from Basic so they and several other buses came through Ord on their way south to fill up their buses. They arrived at Ft Ord with half a load of civilians and GIs from Ft Lewis headed for LA and San Diego and filled it the rest of the way up with GIs headed for LA and San Diego. Only stopped for breaks, food, gas and for the drivers to swap places.

Absolutely beautiful, nostalgic, and well composed. I rode Greyhound for many years and never saw a station that attractive.
I would love to see another shot with the sunlight on the front of the station.

An excellent find and even better shot! Great work, James! Took a Greyhound bus from Cleveland to Ann Arbor once when I was a student many years ago. They somehow managed to turn a normal three hour ride into seven. Cured me of any illusions about the romance of bus travel.
Years ago I worked in the printing and shipping department of the company I worked for. This was before FedEx had grown into the major package delivery service it is now. Greyhound bus network went to cities and small towns all over the US and they were actually quite big in the package shipping business. All our carriers were assigned shipping method codes and Greyhound Package Express was assigned the code PE and expedited shipping using PE was designated NPO. To those of us working in shipping, PE was Pony Express and NPO was Next Pony Out. Packages going PE but not NPO were sent to the King of Prussia bus terminal and NPO packages were sent to the Center City Philadelphia Greyhound bus terminal. It was actually amazing where they delivered to and since the boxes were usually fairly heavy, it was cheaper than USPS and UPS.
As a local in Evansville, I know the station well. Never rode the hound, but am making up for it as my family enjoys Bru Burger at the old station. Hope your trip to Evansville was enjoyable!!!
