My title refers to two things: backing up data, and keeping almost everything. I have a NAS and a box containing two drives for backups. In addition, I have a MediaSonic and a YottaMaster with more drives. When I retire an old computer, I remove the drive. Right now, I have at least twenty-five external hard drives, large and small, plus a few M.2 drives in enclosures. I don't throw anything away if it's still working. These drives are working just fine, but do I really want to use all of them for backups? I'd have to hire someone to maintain them.

I'm going to work on the two external "boxes" that contain drives and see if I can organize a system for what goes where. I have lots of instructional videos for cameras and ukulele, in addition to My Files and My Pictures. I realize that it isn't necessary to keep all the instructional videos on my computer because they just take up space. When I want instruction, I can connect to an eternal drive.

Computers were supposed to make our lives simpler, but organizing and backing up are two tasks that just add to the workload. On the other hand, it gives me an excuse to sit here doing "work," rather than doing housework, which is never any fun.

I recognize your efforts. I'm in the same boat. As new hard drives get bigger (number of Tb's), l backed up all my old drives onto a new bigger h.d. That's job 1, next job is to take all photos of one subject from all the drives onto another new drive, so eventually there are no duplicates but one huge subject. Problem is minimizing 200 different subjects.

Shooting raw, downloads approx. 25 mb. Great. Then after using Luminar AI and saving, the jpeg goes down to 2 mb and even less. I have one that is 900+ kb!! My saved jpegs in the past were around 5+mb. Is this normal? Is there a setting I messed with? Any help appreciated.

I always work in Photoshop. I have Affinity but not used it much.
If you want a large file, 25mb, then you need to save in a non compressed file like psd or tiff. In jpg you can adjust the amount of compression. I always save jpg's at the highest quality level.

I presume you are smart enough to know my question. And for your information, smarty---I can read the ad without your putting it up and a graphic on UHH. Obviously the question is does it pop up as a $500 item and then apply the coupon?---making $350. Or will it go into the basket at $350 and then drop the coupon $150? Maybe you should put it into your cart and test it out. ------------ (I expected trouble from the usual trouble makers) ?

I'm amazed that they still make it !
I haven't used a light meter since l went digital in 2006. It's easy to control the metering in a digital camera.
