This three-shot pano was taken near Jederick's neighborhood. This is what he leaves behind while he is out on his adventures. Lone Peak in the Wasatch Range is on the southeast end of Salt Lake Valley.

Photo was taken during the golden hour at almost sundown using my new Z9 and 70-200mm f2.8 lens at 130mm.

Mike,
Really nice set of photos. I really like the first Tower photo; it is as close to 3D as you can get. I think it is a "wall hanger" that could be as large as a wall.

I use a Benro MAD49C Monopod with the Wimberley MH-100 Monopod Gimbal. I have used it with a Nikkor 500mm F/4 G and Nikon D5 shooting action sports with no problems at all. The head is the key, not the monopod.

[quote=Bridges]I know what you mean. When I visited they had begun to repair the damaged wall that held the Hudson River back. This is one of my all-time favorite photos because when I view it, it elicits a feeling of sympathy for the victims and a sense of pride in our country…

Beautiful and special! Thanks for sharing your photo and thoughts.

Here are some photos I took in June 2014 of the 9/11 memorial. In 2001 we lived in Alaska, and I remember being awakened with the news on the radio a small plane had hit one of the towers. This is a day to remember!

I have a granddaughter, Maya, born on September 11th, 2007. This is also an event for our family to remember on this day.

In 2007, my Wife was with my daughter for our granddaughter's birth. My wife was recovering from Breast Cancer Surgery. Every 9/11 is another year she has survived this terrible disease. I pray I get to continue to celebrate this event.

A lot to remember,
Steve

Mike,
Some wonderful photographs from Alaska. The cruise you are taking isn't the usual big boat. If you don't mind, can you tell me who you are sailing with? It looks like a lot of fun with great scenery and photo opportunities.

With a tripod like that, you have no need for a drone!

Love the Ferrari. Couldn’t stop looking at the amphibious cars in the background of pic 1. Brought me back to when I was a kid and people drove these (I use ‘drove’ loosely)

When I was younger my Dad had an Amphicar. I loved riding down the boat ramp straight into the water. The rest of the riding was a bit slow.

As always, thanks for looking and for your comments. This is the first year I have had insect competition.

Great set! Same here. Noted an Anna’s “head butting” the wasps-Mason Wasps mostly- so he could get at the feeder. Thanx for sharing!

Thank you for your comments and personal experience. Very interesting.

Interesting shoot. Stinging insects are hummers' greatest fear. The little birds know their size makes it impossible to withstand the toxic shock of a sting. They fight each other but run from insects with stingers. Unusual to see both in close proximity.

Thank you for your very interesting comments. I didn't think about their risk around these insects, but it makes sense.

Very nice captures. I hope all survive! I am, myself not fond of wasps but they probably have a role in the overall picture!
Poul.

Poul,
Thanks for your comments.

The ones that hang out in my mailbox usually don't make it, but these just seem to move on when there is no sugar water on the outside of the feeder.

Nice shots. We have the same problem here.

Thanks for your comments. I didn't have this problem until this year, must be the year of the hornets (or wasps).
