I use Topaz B&W Effects II for my conversions.
Nikon and Olympus images. All images have added warmth which I do to simulate my favorite Agfa fiber base printing paper.

1-Marathon, Florida Keys.
2- Tropical Park here in Miami.
3- Fall scene in North Carolina. The original in color had the oil painting effect in Photoshop.
4-Leaves in my backyard.

EXCEPTIONALY well-done images here, camerapapi!!

(on a side note, my fav B&W fiber base paper back a few years ago when I was still shooting Pro... was Forte'. I'm betting that warm tone Agfa stuff woulda' been right up my alley! Nice!)

Once again I come to my UHH community for help. Has anyone had any focusing or purple fringing issues with this lens? I currently have the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 but wanted a bit faster 50mm and everyone has been raving about this Sigma Art lens, not the latest version. I welcome comments, thanks.

Because I shoot DX, I have the 30mm version of this lens. It exhibits both of the issues you mentioned: focusing & purple fringing. The purple fringing shows mostly at f1.4. Focus likes to miss/hunt once in a while. Sharp as all git.out, though!
~ Other than that, last week I used it as my main lens at a wedding I photographed with spectacular results. My Nikkor 50mm 1.8 G lens stayed in the camera case!

I know this is off-topic a bit, but the build of the 50/1.4 DG HSM is very similar (pre-Art Series). I would def recommend!!

Scientists have filmed an ancient egg-laying mammal named after Sir David Attenborough for the first time, proving it isn't extinct as was feared.

An expedition to Indonesia led by Oxford University researchers recorded four three-second clips of Attenborough's long-beaked echidna.

Spiky, furry and with a beak, echidnas have been called "living fossils".

They are thought to have emerged about 200 million years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Why do UHH people and reviewers panc over some zoom lenses that extend when zoomed out talking about dust and moisture as a fault.
Yet the Z 24-70mm f2.8 and Sony 24-70mm f2.8 trombone in and out when zoomed with no concerns expressed here Or in reviews. Would this not change balance and allow dirt and moisture in as the lens is zoomed?

Everyone here on UHH is Rich$$ ('cept me, of course!), and when a lens gets dirty, inside or out, they just buy a new, hopefully more expensive, lens - with a new and improved Body attached to said lens!!

Come on, Architect1776, get with the Program! ...Ha!

Check your manual. If you are shooting in Monochrome, your camera may give you the option of applying filter effects electronically. All of my digital cameras provide the option of Yellow, Orange, or Red filters when shooting in Monochrome. The advantage of this approach is that you don't lose the up to 2.5 stops of exposure that comes with the physical red filter.

My Lumix GX7 is set up exactly that way. That way I can see the JPEG right away for the effect - then work the RAW any stinkin' way I wanna'!

I happen to be very lucky in that I have Three Trader Joe's nearby to shop at! And, I really like their Ravioli selections - here being the Porcini Mushroom and Ricotta Cheese variety.
~ While I have in the past made my own ravioli, I choose not to because there's a lot of better made and more variety out there.... Here served with a nice Grilled Italian Sausage with homemade Fresh picked Basil heavy sauce!

My outdoor farmers market is winding down and this was the last week for it. Good thing too because it was really cold here. At one of the tables I saw these big beautiful leeks and right next to them was the potatoes. This soup has been on my to try list for awhile. I knew I had some homemade chicken broth in the freezer. This soup was fantastic and I will be making it again. Topped with croutons from my homemade bread.

Very Appetizing image, JustJill!! Great cool weather comfort food that!
