On their second visit, the foxes were fascinated by the woodchuck's escape hole.
Since they have been here I no longer see squirrels or chipmunks. Photos taken with Canon RP and RF 70-200 lens.
All told, over the two days I took 56 shots.

I just turn up the brightness on my screen and I’ve never missed not having a viewfinder. I love my i-phone camera so much my poor husband is probably tired of hearing about it.

Thanks.

One morning my neighbor stopped me and asked if I saw the foxes in my backyard. I said no, so I told my wife to be alert. A day later my wife said look in the back yard and there they were so the comedy started. I went to the bedroom and dug out my Canon RP, but it had the 24-105 lrns on so I changed to the 70-200 and went to the kitchen window, focused and found out I had not replaced the sod card, so went and got it. Fortunately the foxes cooperated and here is the result. Loading this using iPad. I’ll do more when I get to my computer

If you are so sure you have right of access...go for it...but you better be sure.
The property owner feels otherwise...

You might get the shot...not the one you expected.

That actually happened recently here in upstate New York a group of people were looking for a meet up and unfortunately went up the wrong driveway. The property owner who was not very friendly opened fire as they realized their mistake and turned around, but unfortunately a young woman was fatally shot. So beware!

Thanks, and I will keep my RP & R5 because they are more capable.
However, they are not always with me, or convenient to take along like my iPhone.

I have the RP and also a Canon G -15. I was thinking of replacing the G-15 with a G-9x II, but the G-9 has been impossible to find locally since I prefer to pay cash. So I was thinking that the iPhone 14 Pro could substitute for the Canon G. One problem is the lack of a viewfinder on the cellphone

I now have the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and I Love the camera which has "Close-Up" (Macro-ish) 0.5, 1X, 2, 3, Time-Lapse 1X, and 3, Cinematic 1X & 3, Video 0.5, 1X, 2, 3, Photo 0.5, 1X, 2, 3, Portrait 2X with "Light Adjustments", and "Pano" settings. It soots in Raw (DNG) and jpeg. Collectively, this is far more than my DSLR kit is capable of, and I always have it with me.
I always shoot "Wide" to leave some template material so that I may crop get to the 3:2 format of my DLSR files.
As part of my workflow, I usually run all (iPhone/DSLR) files through Topaz Photo AI (Default Settings - primarily for low-light noise) and then PhotScape X for color/sizing issues to suit my taste.
The bottom line for me is that whenever I don't have my "Real" camera with me I may still get an acceptable straight-out-of-the-camera shot with my iPhone and immediately share it if I wish to do so.
Wives Love that, grin.
I know that I didn't answer your question about the focal length, which was addressed by a previous responder. However, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max with "Close-Up" (Macro-ish) 0.5, 1X, 2, 3, Time-Lapse 1X, and 3, Cinematic 1X & 3, Video 0.5, 1X, 2, 3, Photo 0.5, 1X, 2, 3, Portrait 2X with "Light Adjustments", and "Pano" settings should address just about anything that you may wish to record at a high level of quality.

The attachment is of a small variety of Azalea (Rhododendron), cropped and reduced in size.

If anyone uses the iPhone 14 Pro telephoto lens can you tell me what you think of it and what is its focal length.

I made up turkey tacos the other evening. Now I’m no food photographer like Tito, buyt they looked so good just sitting there I couldn’t resist taking a shot of them waiting to be eagerly consumed. Then I thought I’d share the view of our back yard as we see it at 12:15AM. Yep, it was that light out. We love it.

I love those long Alaskan summer days. When I worked at Tok, I would often sit out at midnight to watch the softball games under natural light.

What LongShadow pointed to is the easiest it is going to get. Very near, but not quite to, the bottom of every page, toward the right hand side are the words All Sections. It doesn't say Link to, but just make believe it does.

Thanks I never looked there. It does what I want. So thanks all for your patience with this old timer

A link to all sections.

https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/all-section-list

When you find a section you like, click on "Subscribe" .

Once you subscribe, when you click on Home" on the main screen you will see the list of your favorite sections.

Thanks for the link. But what I would like to see is a simple button in the header that says “Link to All Sections” or something similar and it takes you to the link you provided.

Big issue, IMHO, is that UHH has so many sections that the SmartPhone section gets lost in the weeds. We might need to have a way that special sections randomly get showcased at the top of the normally populated sections. This would only need a single line with a link to the chosen section. I had to scroll pretty far down a long list to find the link to the SmartPhone section.

Wingpilot, you are not nitpicking, to are participating.

It would be helpful if there was a Link at the top of the opening page that could take you to a list of special sections which could be listed alphabetically. I know I am going to get flamed by the "experts" for not knowing how "simple it is to find the special sections" It sure isn't simple for my aging brain.
