I made up turkey tacos the other evening. Now I’m no food photographer like Tito, buyt they looked so good just sitting there I couldn’t resist taking a shot of them waiting to be eagerly consumed. Then I thought I’d share the view of our back yard as we see it at 12:15AM. Yep, it was that light out. We love it.

Good looking food shot, Greg. Thanks for showing me what it looks like after midnight up there.

How to you sleep, lots of room darkening blinds?

Yeah, that plate of taco’s just looked good enough to take a shot of it. Glad you liked it. We love the extended daylight hours.

Yes, we have room darkening shades in the bedroom. But once you close your eyes it’s dark anyway. But I guess we’re just used to it.

You would have to be. Unless I am sick or dead-tired, I can't sleep when the sun in up.

It does take some getting used to.

That's a great food shot! Thanks for showing me what it looks like at that hour of the day. I'm not sure I would ever get used to that. So, on the flip side, does it stay dark all the time at certain times of the year?

Thanks. On our “shortest day of the year,” we’ll have about 4 1/2 hours of full daylight. That does get under our skin a bit at times.
