I was not happy with Luminar 3 due to speed (exporting pics is a reason for a bathroom break or getting some coffee. But I reluctantly went to Luminar 4 and I am glad I did. Speed had greatly improved and they have made some other adjustments as well. I am assuming they will continue to improve their product.

No, Sigma does not make a Tripod Ring for this lens. The body weight of the lens is 2.5 lbs and worked well on a camera tripod when I tried it. I understand there are some third party companies that make them but I never needed it.

I agree that the sharpness and detail are excellent but the colors are simply amazing. I have seen some other pics with the Canon 90D. The 34 mp creates great detail but they did not rave as much about the colors. The first two of the snakes are just outstanding.

Perhaps - but you don't make it easy for folks here to help with your issues if you don't provide much information on the hardware you are using.

I've used L3 for some time now and have never had an issue of running out of disk space. How large a HD are you using, how much RAM, what type computer - Win or Mac...

To make the reader assume is unfair...and you can't expect much useful help with so limited information.

...and frankly I think the comment is called for if it will help wake up readers to think about what they are asking and what kind of information might help another UHH reader to provide potential solutions.

No it was uncalled for. You took it from a question that maybe needed more information to a sarcastic mocking response.

First rule of every public forum site I have been on, is it you cannot say something nice, don't say anything at all. CycleSpeed pointed out in the post before that that more information was needed and I replied.

You tried to mock the question, implying the use of over 19 year old computer using 5.25 floppy dissc. That was not needed.

In reviews of the Luminar program various reviewers have noted it was sluggish. I have it on two computers and it is sluggish compared to PS Elements and LR.
In November Luminar 3 has had a problem with the program giving owners a reading that it could not import pictures due to lack of disk space on a persons computer. I had over 500 Gigs in my computer and the program would not import photos. While I received good technical support, it took a while to get it corrected.

Getting it corrected involved the following
Download AppCleaner from here (click this text to open link).
Install AppCleaner and start it.
Drag Luminar from your Applications folder into the AppCleaner window. When removing Luminar, mark all the files and folders in the list, except for DPA6233TPQ.com.macphun.luminar3.
Once you've uninstalled Luminar, restart your Mac and download a fresh version of Luminar from here (click this text to open link).

Maybe my question did not fit your guidelines of what a good question should be, but you decided to react with sarcasm that was not needed.

If you cannot say something nice, keep you hands off the computer keys and don't type anything at all. Wait it out.

Perhaps you should consider upgrading from your Tandy 1000. I can assure you it will not run Luminar 4 any faster than it does 3. Even better you won't need anymore 5.25 inch floppy disks.

This comment was uncalled for.

I have 8 gigs of ram on a Mac Mini that is a 2017 version. I notice it seems to take a long time to have the picture come up that you want to edit.

So Luminar 4 is have some specials for Black Friday - Is the new version faster than the old one? Luminar 3 has had some problems with running out of disk space as you download files. Does that seem to have been fixed.

Like the program, just seems to be really slow to work with.
