Being on disability because of 3 back & 1 failed neck surgeries I understand limited/ fixed income. It took me 2 years of really scrimp & saving to buy my used Nikon D7000. I followed up with used Prime lenses a 35 & 50mm 1.8's. With a grandson now I'd love ❤️ a D7500 or even 7200 for better focusing. Truth is I shoot everyday, mostly with my iPhone 5. It's at least 5-6 years old. But it's always with me, so whenever I see a car, flowers 🌺, clouds ☁️, rainbows 🌈 veggies in the grocery store I shoot it. Usually several ways. I get instant feedback, can quickly edit & post to Instagram or Facebook, share with family etc.

This keeps my creative juices flowing. Hope this gives you some ideas. Spiney-Dave

On eBay do a search for the item your interested in knowing the going rate. Click on filter results: turn on SOLD. That will give you a listing of recently sold items and what they sold for. To get more historical pricing you need to subscribe to a paid service that collects that info.

Other option look at what KEH is charging. Hope this helps.

A real shame. It really grinds my gears to see this. Many times people want to buy and restore such cars but the owners won't part with it. Either they want to fix it "someday" or worst case they are hoarders. I personally chased down a 67 Shelby GT-350, Sunbeam Tiger, and an old Model T Pickup. After 2 years of trying to buy the Shelby one weekend it was gone. The owner had traded it in on a new Pinto Wagon. I would have bought her the Pinto and give her another $500-1000 on top of it.

I love it 😍, by any chance does the valve act as the switch? Is that a vintage meter, or new made to look old. Either way, Kudos. The photography is top notch also. Makes me wish I hadn't sold my large knife switch (aka Frankenstein switch). Sold it at a Hamfest years ago.

That was a great buy. When I had mine you could still buy replacement flash tubes. Very important before you use you need to condition the big capacitors in the pack. If I remember correctly Never fire the pack with no heads attached. Don't plug in heads with the pack on.

Attach at least 2 heads. Turn the pack on and then immediately off with it set at lowest power. Then turn on and let it sit for a few hours. Then discharge it. Then take to next level wait an hour and discharge, then repeat for full power. You only need do this if it sat unused for a long time. Mine sat in storage for over 5 years and still worked fine. Do you have a flash meter? You probably want to get one if not. You can use grey card and histogram until you get one, but a meter saves time and makes for accurate light ratios.

If you find you like it and need more power or lights I have an unused 400 or 440 and 1-2 heads I'd be willing to bargain with. Good luck, Spiney-Dave

I used Novatrons in my studio and on location for 15 years. 400, 400VR, and a 800 pack with various regular & multi-stop heads. They were workhorses. I don't have an answer for your Canon device. When I shot Film I started out wired. Then moved to a Quantum Radio Slave II. I later added White Lightning triggered with the Quantum RS2 and triggered the Novatrons with a Photo Slave. Perhaps use a photo Slave triggered with your on camera flash on lowest setting. Or buy a cheap Radio Slave from eBay or Amazon.

^^^ Correct the chips are different I highly doubt a CLI-42 which is. Pro 100 cart will work in you Pro-9000 without swapping the chip. If your not in a hurry I'd just contact B&H. They may even send the correct one and let you send back the wrong one in the meantime.

Sir Montgomery are you making your income shooting Automotive images? I like the examples you've shown here. Congratulations on earning enough to pay 💰 the rent. Car photography is something I too really enjoy. I have a 96 SVT Cobra 🐍 Mustang that I take to Cars & Coffee events. It allows me to combine my two passions Photography & Cars.

If you are selling your services and prints then it's time to get legal with sales tax, reporting your income, and on the flip side writing off your costs.

I second 2 options. 1) I'm using successfully Precision Color inks in my Pro-100. Once you have 2 sets of empties and the refill kit it becomes easy and very cost defection. Precision Color puts lots of research into making their inks extremely compatible. They also provide free ICC profiles.

The other is buying directly from Canon. Makes no sense to buy anywhere else because of the Free Paper you get. Some people maximize their free paper by buying their inks 2 colors at a time. I bought a full set of Canon inks from eBay at a savings of $22 over anywhere else. I realized too late all of the free paper I could have received if I had bought from Canon instead. Paper is not cheap.

I really look 👀 forward to UHH each morning @ 5:41am. I check out the digest and look at the printing section since I'm into that these days. I enjoy any posts on car shows since that's another passion of mine too.

One last thing, Just south of Lititz on Rt 501 is Lancaster Airport. It's a very active general aviation airport with close access. You can get great shots of small and larger planes ✈️ taking off & landing. You can park right near the end of the runways.

Great running steam engines at Strasburg and at a local crossing you'll usually catch Amish in buggies waiting for the train 🚂 to pass. Image will look 👀 like it's a 100 years old. Also nearby a great model train layout the Choo Choo barn and the Toy Train Museum, plus the Caboose inn where you can sleep in 1 of about 15 old Cabeese. Many different Roads represented.

Just outside of Lititz PA which is about 7 miles up route 501 from where the station is, there's a Wolfe Preserve. Great Photo ops there. On Tuesdays there's a great Farmers Market, Flea Market between East Petersburg & Manheim. Mannheim has PA's largest Auto Auction. They sometimes have Exotics. Farmers market is called Roots Market.

Forgot Fulton Theater is about 150 year old classic old Opera House still opened. Near the Farmers market. Suggest eating at the Dispensing Company which is also right there.
