Camera gear makes a difference.

It's like, how can you win the race if you don't have the best car?

I have seen plenty of auto races where the fastest car didn't win. Strategy can make the difference.

Not really!! People will settle for what we would call Crap as long as the price is cheap.

Or if they can't tell Crap from good work.

Thanks! The story behind this photo is:

The original photo was taken when my dad was 8 in 1944 and was created for the Moose Lodge. The Moose lodge commissioned a painting to be done from the photo and now that painting hangs in all Moose Lodges within the US. The name of the painting is called "Mooseheart". My great uncles were some of the original members in the Pennsylvania chapters. So I got my dad to recreate the pose a few weeks ago when I was home, he is now 87.

I started the composite but wasn't getting what I really wanted, so put a help request out on UHH for some help and with the suggestions and guidance of a few other members - this was the ending creation!
Thanks! The story behind this photo is: br br The... (show quote)

It looks like a print was made, and then copied with the border. I think it would look better with the border cropped out, or made pure white.

I wouldn't give up on Adobe Support. You say you tried to go to their site. Were you able to talk or chat with their support and they couldn't address your problem? I have always found their support excellent, and you pay for it having PS.

I think that the first two considerations are the quality of the resultant photo that you desire and your ability to get it. The next is getting that quality without flash. If the venue says no flash it can be inferred that you can take photos, period.

The OP says the venue only said no flash on their web site. But I wouldn't take that to mean large cameras are permitted. He was correctly advised to call the venue to confirm their actual policy on what cameras you can bring in. They could mean no flash with phone cameras.

I found the discussion about full frontal nudity interesting. Each site has rules for posting. I know photographers self censor here and I suspect there is a monitor to police the content. I have had multiple pictures removed from sites for various reasons.
If you have not turned your models around, I would suggest you are missing something.

I don't believe the Admin here censors photos in the Nude section. If this one wasn't censored, what would be censored?

I have always used Epson printers, but I was never happy with B&W prints until I got my first printer which had three shades of black ink. Before that, I always seemed to get a little tint.

What the heck is a real professional camera?

Different venues will have different rules. It's usually defined by size, or the use of interchangeable lenses.

If the venue's web site doesn't say you can't bring a pro camera, I would call them and make sure. It is unusual these days that they wouldn't prohibit them. Prohibiting phones is more difficult, but some artists are even prohibiting them.

I don't upgrade unless there is a type of photography I want to do that my current camera is not good at, and a higher model is good at.

Very Interesting I shoot nothing but RAW and the comment made was its for amateurs ( Really ) I am pro photographer. I guess I am doing something wrong, been shooting RAW for many years. I guess its called whatever floats your boat. I also guess that means shoot in full automatic. Oh well what ever works for ya.

I'm not sure who you are replying to since you didn't use Quote Reply. You're a pro, but are you a photojournalist? That's what the discussion is about.

What don't you understand about the section title "General Chit Chat"? The only topic prohibited is political.

When the Admin changes stuff like that he should add a comment that HE/SHE moved it to a more appropriate section. But either way it ended up in the right section. I object to those who don't read what Chit-Chat is about (apologies to those two who HAPPENED to know it had originally been posted in the wrong section).

Whenever I see someone comment a post is in the wrong section, and it is in the correct section, I assume it was moved there from the wrong section by Admin.

It was originally posted in General Photography, and Admin must have moved it to Chit Chat. Happens all the time. What don't you understand about that?

Maybe it's because AI is told we have five fingers when the reality is we have four fingers and a thumb.

I wonder if anyone has told AI the proper number of fingers in their image instructions, especially after getting too many the first time.
