Who do you use to print B&W? My local print shop does not do very well with b&w shots, they seem to come out darker and with a blue tint to them. So I am looking for a good one to send online to.
Thanks to the help of a UHHer -terryMC - I am going to print this composite of my dad at age 8 then again at age 87.
I can't help you with printing, but I want to say I really like how you've finished this image. I have trouble printing B&W at home. If I set the software to B&W, it turns out blue-ish. If I leave it on colour, it looks sepia (which I really dislike). I've been using Replicolor in SLC to print my large prints. You might try them. I've been quite pleased. They tend to print about 1/2 stop lighter than I do at home.

I agree with AzPicLady. Unless you have the printer and knowledge to do this, outsource. There are too many good national compies to mention them all. AdaromaPix, WHCC, Millers, Bay Photo to name just a few others. If your looking for good quality, don't price shop. Best of luck.
Not sure about the printing, Cindy, but I love the final image.

I print with my laser printer which only prints B&W - for color print, I use online printing services
I have always used Epson printers, but I was never happy with B&W prints until I got my first printer which had three shades of black ink. Before that, I always seemed to get a little tint.
I use Printique, the printing arm of Adorama Camera in NYC for B&W as well as color. Never been disappointed.

Great image. I do my own printing. I bought an Epson ET-8550 a year ago and I'm very happy with the job it does with B&W and color. I just made an 11x14 print of your image on 13x19 Red River Metallic Luster paper and the print looks fantastic. I did increase the whites a bit to widen the dynamic range and ran it thru Topaz Photo AI. Printing it at 13x19 would have required cropping a bit off the top. If you want to PM me your address I can try mailing the print to you.
Thanks everyone for replying, I do not have a printer, so that's out! lol I sent one_eyed_pete a pm to take him up on his offer. I just love the generosity of everyone on this site, it just amazes me how much everyone is willing to help.
Cindy
I’ve used WHCC and White Wall and been happy with both.

Do you calibrate your monitor ? That is most likely why your photos print blue. Do they print blue when you send them out also? If so. XRite (now Calibrate) has the ColorChecker Passport also for setting the white Balance. Use LR? Those temp slider at the top of the Basic Adjustments Panel with the slider towards blue or yellow! Data Clolor has products for White Balance also. Plenty of vids on You Tube & might be needed to be included into your photography process.

Monitor is calibrate and I can only send out photo's...I don't have a printer. This local print shop does great on color but not on B&W. I was specifically looking for companies that are good at printing B&W. I am familiar with both LR and PS and the sliders, the photo looks good on my monitor it's just a print shop issue.

That is a very impressive and emotinal composite! Better in B&W than in color, more dramatic.
