I am neither old nor male, and Fox is my news outlet of choice. I also listen to BBCA on satellite radio in my car so I can hear what's going on in the ROTW.

I am sorry that I cannot make a recommendation that is within your budget. Should you find you can afford another $100 or so, here is my recommendation:

This is the head I use...love it...especially if you like to shoot panoramic shots and stitch the photos together.

Right! Ever since Sharpshooter gave his viewpoint on that title, I can think of nothing else.

My immediate thought when seeing this title was that he must have had a Ball Head on that tripod....

I had the Nikon 2.8 vrII, had it 2 weeks and the weight issue was just too much for me, so took it back, There is a lot for sale on Ebay with people saying . Reason for sale its just never used, Mine would have been the same, Rent one before you decide to buy

Weight is exactly the issue keeping me from buying this lens...left wrist just won't handle it.

What lens did you settle for that wasn't too heavy??

OK...here's my first post to UHH.

I get tired of the "income inequality" talk, when personal choice is not addressed. How about graduating from High School. Not getting pregnant out of wedlock. Getting training for a CAREER?? Not just college, but trade school too. We will always need welders, and plumbers, and carpenters etc. Get a college diploma that's useful for an actual JOB.

I hate it when people act like their future doesn't depend on the choices they make. I know that life changing events can happen...but for crying out loud...
