There are three camera shops within 45 minutes to an hour of Gettysburg.
LA Camera in Chambersburg PA, Carlisle Camera, Camphill, PA and one in downtown Lancaster I forget the name.
There is nothing south in Maryland until you get to Baltimore.
I also use a Kenko 1.4 converter with my Nikon 70-300 MM lens and Sigma 150-500 MM it works great
I have purchased lenses and cameras from them. Their grading is very conservative. Never had a problem.
Try KEH they usually have a good selection.
No, Just when I get a new lens I look at the book.
I have never used a filter other than a Polarizer or ND. My Minolta lenses that have been cleaned many times over the years and some of my lenses date back to the mid to late 70's and are not scratched. Nor do I see a reason for an additional filter on my newer Nikon lenses. I never seen a need for an extra piece of glass on the end of a lens that may lessen the quality of the photograph. Just my thoughts.
There are times I prefer film to digital and time that I prefer digital. Sunsets and sunrises that I prefer film. Film once it is processed I have it put on discs. Both mediums have their place in the photographic world.
I have a package that was to be delivered on 2/14 UPS, it is weather delayed. It is scheduled for be delivered today just checked the UPS site for a shipping update. UPS has always given great service.
The US Postal Service where I live about 10 years ago was a big mess, post master was fired 7 carrier routes with major problems. I was told by a postal inspector not to send postal problems to my US senator. He gave me his direct phone number to call if any additional problems occurred with delivery.
I would go with the 7100 I own one and it is a great camera. I would go with the 7100 but what's important is what you want and like. I agree with Lordac I just plug in my card to my computer the down load is quick and you can select the photos you want.
I still use my Minolta film cameras from time to time. I just take the film to a processor and the but it on disc. Fill still holds a few advantages over digital.
I just ordered a new Nikon 28 MM lens today. My first choice for camera supplies.
I have to give Nikon credit, they stood by the my D7100 and repaired or cleaned the sensor, It took about 10 days. They also down loaded the latest update for filmware. The camera is tack sharp and have not had any problems since.
My 7100 had an oil spot on the sensor. Sent it back to Nikon and the checked it out and cleaned the sensor. Camera works great.
Yes, 35 and 120 film I use a processor LA Cameras in Chambersburg, PA. Get them to put it on disc.
I use 2 external hard drives and an old Dell lap top to down store my pictures on during trips. I pack one drive in my suite case and one in my camera case.
