Beautiful private garden that is open to the public by request. The family resides today on the property and the wife is a avid gardener. Over the years she has created a total of eight acres of one of the most beautiful gardens in the region and or country.

Gorgeous landscaping and flowers to die for

Great job on the photos. I like to visit there at least once a year myself.

I didn't see "Plymouth" to the right of your name before, so you are not so far from me. I am in Fish Lake, on the other side of Walkerton.

Have your ever gone to Warsaw? They have a biblical garden and about 150 feet away, a second garden, in Central Park there. Pardee, a retired teacher, takes care of the biblical garden, and his wife, Toshiko, takes care of the other. Japanese, and she is fastidious, even sweeping leaves off the grass using a Japanese style broom. Both he and she do everything with great love and passion, and the two gardens are a must-see because of that. Treat yourself some day in the summer, and I guarantee, you will shot for at least an hour!

No, I have not been there. I do get to Warsaw quite often and will certainly make it a point to see that. Not sure if I mentioned Hamstra Gardens to you. If not that is a must see for sure. It is located on Rt. 10 approx. one mile west of Rt. 49. It is a private garden 8 acres in size but is open to the public. If you do a search for it you can scroll down to visit and you will see a form request to fill out. It is open year round except on Sundays.

My dad was shipped to Hawaii approximately three months after the attack on Pearl Harbor and was there until the war ended.

Here’s a bracelet he made for his then fiancé, my mother. The stainless steel band is made from an engine cowling off of a B17 bomber that had been destroyed during the attack. The brass heart is made from a name plate off of a damaged door removed from the USS California, which was damaged in the attack, eventually sunk and was later raised, repaired and put back into service. The two rivet heads are from one of the few Japanese planes we were able to shoot down, a Zero. Dad spent considerable time making the bracelet by hand and said that he would have given up had he not already told my mom he was making it for her. He had her name engraved at a jeweler in Honolulu.

As easy as shooting fish in a barrel, Reuss.
The whole garden is about 10X20 feet, consisting of five long rows.
The flowers are all new varieties they are trying out.
It's in the middle of one of the most excellent parks I have ever visited,
and there is even a working 19th century mill that produces excellent flour, for sale

I do get there to p[hotograph myself at least once if not more per year. One of the members of my photoclub raised dahlias there for them. Unfortunately he passed away 2 yrs. ago.

The birds are thru the windows and all are cropped a little. Now that the sun is swinging around some, the lighting is better. My Christmas cactus still has two blooms on it in March. As far as I can remember, this is a first in its 67 year history. Just wanted to share. And yes, Louie is still around.

As a Picasa user for my organization of my photo files, google keeps infringing on my files. What do you all suggest as a photo organizer. I liked the Picasa, because it would let me name and date the files, organize them by year and subject. But google keeps grabbing them and mixing all the photos into their own ideas. Would like something that keeps them off the Cloud.

I have used Picasa for years and still do. Google never does anything with my photos.

It is windy and snowing today, so I took a page from Jack's (curmudgeon) book and decided to play.

This set is my first use of selective color.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I keep wondering why a barn was built on the edge of a cemetery, or vice versa.

Now that is unique for sure.
