The background layer showed partially locked one day. The cursor turns to a circle with a slash when I tried to unlock it. Uninstalled PSE 11 and reinstalled, same problem. Installed it on my wife's laptop with the same result. It seems my copy is corrupted. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Really wanted to wait after black Friday to get PSE 14, but might have to bite the bullet and get it now. Thanks in advance. Bill

The problem is that Adobe changed the name of this panel. In Elements 10 and earlier versions it is called Content. In Elements 11 and 12 it is called Graphics. This panel (whatever is called) is accessed via the Window menu.

The Content/Graphics panel has more frames than you can count on your fingers. Once you are in this panel, just search By Type>Frames. You will find over 350 frames.

ADD-ON: I saw your other post. You already found this panel in Elements 11.

Many thanks, Ziza. I used to have PSE 6 and must have been remembering using that. Like me, the memory is getting a little slow. Or maybe a lot. On the other hand I got to talk to some nice people AND the problem was solved. Thanks again.

Hi Bill - If you are looking to purchase the full Topaz suite, I have a link/code that will save you 15%. Message me. :-)

Thank you, Merideth Images. Mrs Santa Claus just told me that, if I was nice (very difficult) I might get the Nik suite for Christmas. I appreciate the offer. I have been inspired by Bob Yankle to try some black and white. Or monochrome for purists. Thanks again.

Found them in PSE 11.

Expert Mode, click onto the + sign (bottom right of screen "Graphics"

At the top right there are two or three drop down boxes,

Choose By object in the first box, Frames in the box underneath, then Show All in the top right box.

I think you can get to different frames somehow by manipulating the boxes and also going in via Fx mode and/or by clicking on the word little triangle next to the word Create at the very top right.

Thank you again. Got it, now. I wish you were here or I was there. I would buy you a pint (or maybe two....or three?) and some pub grub. Is that right? Good food? Anyway, thanks again.

Many thanks. I used to have PSE 6 and now I think I was remembering "frames" from that. Its not something I use much (not in years) so I won't miss it. I am thinking of getting either Topaz or the NIK suite. Thanks again.

Content is located in the Window menu options

That is my problem. "content" is not there. It has been a very long time since I wanted to use frames, so maybe I was remembering PSE 6. Thank you for your help. This is a great place.

I have PSE 9,11,12

In 9 I found the content > frames

in 11 and 12 - Fx effects > Effects > Frame (containing 3 mediocre frames.

It has been a long time since I used "frames", but I was sure I went to windows>content. then to one of two buttons that I can't remember. I am using PSE 11. Before I had PSE 6, so maybe that is what I am remembering. I found the 3 mediocre frames you mentioned. Thank you for your time and effort. This is a great forum.

Was trying to access "frames" and lo and behold, "content" was gone from the windows drop down menu. Uninsalled and reinstalled PSE and its still not there. Any help as to what I have done and how to get it back will be appreciated. Its not a very big deal, but I would like to know where it got off to.

Hello,
Discovered this site a while back, and have been learning more about photography than I knew existed. Got a digital SLR last March. It seems that everytime I have a question it shows up on a post or it can be found in "search". Thanks to all for the help. Love the photographs. Its fun to try and emulate them. Can't wait for spring to try DIF (dragonfly in flight).
