This struck me as funny. I just saw an ad for using Google's phone service. There have been lots of complaints about Google spying on people, and now they have a cell phone service. You talk, they listen.

Been going on for years, Just think of all those conversations Alexa has picked up when you thought you were alone. They're going somewhere with it listening 24/7.

I just ran a test on my Internet speeds: 110.1m download, 11.6 upload. How does that compare with anything? After the test, the results box said I should be able to handle streaming on several devices simultaneously.

I've been trying to decide what to do about Spectrum at $195 a month. They offer Internet for $50/mo for one year, with speeds of 200 Mbps. For $70/mo I can get 400 Mbps. Of course after a year, the sky's the limit.

Any opinions?

EDIT: I wasn't able to go any farther into Spectrum because of "technical difficulties."

So long as you realize those numbers advertised are megabits (Mbps) not Megabytes MBps (the lower-case “b” refers to “bit” and the upper-case “B” refers to “byte.” Both are units of data, with 8 bits equal to 1 byte. 1 megabit denotes 1,000,000 bits, and 1 megabyte denotes 1,000,000 bytes).

If it doesn't work for you, you don't use it. If it works for others, why question it. I don't understand the point in wasting time questioning it.

Yes they do and thats their choice. Again you have no right telling someone what to do with their body as adults as long as they are not hurting anyone. You can tell them the risk factors and offer help but then choice is theirs. IMO...I have friends weithvacvine and friends without. I love them all the same. Most have already got the virus and had a little cold for a few days and believe they have they antibodies which is stronger than the vaccine. I dont judge any of their choices. Divide and conquer is the agenda. Less than 1% of country has got the virus but we destroy the countries economy over it. If you want to stay in and hide from virus i welcome that and if you want to socialize I dont judge that either. You want wear a mask your choice or maskless im fine with that also. Just ask one question, if the vaccine works and you have it why are you still scared. Just as many people with vaccine if not more are catching the virus...hmm...remember just my thoughts. Am I right I dont know but soon the facts wont be hidden by gov't and we may all see we were fooled.

That's the whole point, "hurting someone" not wearing a mask could be hurting others...what part don't non vaccers and mask wearers understand about that. It has nothing to do with you, The point of wearing a Mask/ mandates are to protect others from what you may have. Sure masks may prevent you from inhaling dust, pollutants etc, It's also to prevent you from spreading what you may have and not know it and possibly spreading to others what may be ailing you. To bad huh? Hell of an attitude. Vaccinating may prevent you from becoming a hospital patient taking up a bed that could be better used by someone that needs it. "Divide and conquer is the agenda" and your doing your part at just that. Gotta love it, NOT!.

Or you could just plan not to do any shopping / stocking up on frozen foods or perishables all together prior to vacationing. I.E. leave with the fridge empty or close to it. The money you save can be put towards a nice dinner on vacation. As far as the quarter goes, Ya never know when you'll need a quarter for the meter.

Don't forget five quarter wood . . which is actually 1 1/4" rough and 1 1/16" finished.
Commonly used for home projects requiring high quality and dimensially accurate wood rather than common "pine shelving".

5/4" milled molding is 1-1/8", 5/4" pine S4S is typically 1-1/8", then you have to deal with moister content. Is it 35% or 7%....one reason we let trim/S4S acclimate on a job for a week before using it.

No, the manufacturer does not save on wood costs. The thickness reduction of 1/32" is due to the slight surface sanding done to bring each panel at time of manufacture to a common thickness. Variations in the individual veneer thicknesses at time of panel manufacture account for variations in individual panel thickness, hence light sanding of each panel to bring the panel to a common thickness. I will not get into the discussion of why 2x4's are 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" today as that is a much longer story usually only understood by someone who has a history over many decades in the lumber manufacturing business here in North America.

No it's not...common thickness was 3/4". It was also sanded depending on grade. I used to use a full 3/4" , 1/2" 1/4" dado blades and router bits yrs ago, (sanded furniture grade plywood) Now I have to use router bits specifically made for the 1/32" less. Or shim up on dado blades. And 2x4's are 1-9/16" x 3-9/16"
