A total of seventeen images were used to produce this image. Four series of focus stacked images were first produced, then the results of those were merged together as a pano.

Early this morning.

I like the results of that gnarly tree.

Purrfect models, we have two we're biased about, also.

The white-winged dove is a year round resident, but some migrate along the gulf coast in winter. Some birds have strayed as far as Maine and Alaska. White-Winged Doves are hunted in Texas and Mexico much like the mourning dove that is hunted throughout the United States. Despite being hunted, both bird populations continue to flourish, and their mournful call can be heard throughout their range. The squirrel us another year round resident presented as a bonus. The color is better in download.

As I mentioned in a previous post the Snake River is going through its run off period with the water running much higher and bringing much debris down and over the falls at Idaho Falls in the center of town. These are some photos of the river and surrounding green belt.

I had hoped to see this fox with her kits. The dark area she is looking at is an entrance to the den. There are a couple other entrances and exits. But unfortunately the kits did not come out to play!

Nice capture!

Spring has taken a left hand turn because the over night temperature went down to twenty seven degrees.
This Rhododendron did not have any problems with it.

Lovely hardy blooms.

The Snake River has begun its annual runoff with the resulting high water, tons of debris carried down river and so on. I went to the actual Falls of Idaho Falls yesterday afternoon to see what photographs I might take of the runoff.
From the bridge crossing the river on Broadway Street in the downtown area I spotted this Cormorant swimming along the river before it went over the falls. I got a decent photograph from a long distance with my Sony RX10IV using 600mm. I took some other photos far off up the river of the Mormon Temple and then took a look back at the Cormorant. It was standing on top of some log debris with its out stretched wings doing the Bald Eagle routine of being our National Bird. Then came numerous photos of this Cormorant doing the Bald Eagle routine. I hope you like these.

Despite dark skies and drizzle on our first day outside Mobile, the rain slacked up in time for our visit to Bellingrath Gardens. We just missed the peak of azalea blooms, but one could easily see how magnificent the gardens would be had we been a week earlier. If you should plan a visit, the 2nd or 3rd week in March is best for peak color. We were there the 4th week.

Lovely all, I like the red bridge reflection completing the circle.
