Re voter suppression in Florida: It is a fact that there are many errors on the voter rolls; dead people, family pets, and illegals (non-citizens). It is pure stupidity to ignore this fact and not try to correct the errors. Those that are so strenuously trying to stop the correction process have an obvious motive; they believe that the majority of those illegal votes will be cast for their party.
The same rationale applies to the controversy about having a govt issued ID to vote. We accept as perfectly normal a request for ID when boarding a plane, cashing a check, using a credit card, operating an auto, buying a beer, etc., but to authenticate ones identity when voting; its a big deal. What a farce ! The Democrat party has no credibility for it's stand on these positions.

Speed refers to the SD cards ability to accept (write/transfer) digital data from the camera onto the card and comes into play mainly when one is shooting video or burst sequences.
Once one trips the shutter on the camera the picture is captured in the camera's buffer by the digital processor, which then needs to store the data elsewhere to make room for the next capture. It does that by writing the data to a non-volatile storage device which can either be a camera's internal memory or a device such as a SD or similar card.
Hope this helps you picture what is going on.

Thats something that your President refuses to do."

You should read the news now and then; illegal immigration from Mexico has dropped close to zero.

LOL
i guess it depends on which news media are reporting that.

Yeah, the real news or Fixed News. Try this one: the number of deportations is at a record high. Of course you can still pretend it is not happening, because it was not accomplished by a Republican president. Douglas S. Massey, co-director of the Mexican Migration Project at Princeton University: "net migration" from Mexico is at about zero for the first time in 60 years." (New York Times)

I believe the operative words are "Net migration" ie: if we ship 1000 illegals back and 1000 new illegals sneak in you arrive at a NET ZERO. Thats real smart governing.

If we are talking about shipping jobs out of the USA just take a look at what General Motors has done with our bailout.
They have built more plants in China then they have existing in the USA. We basically have saved the company for the benefit of the Chinese government which just happens to be Communist. If you want the facts take a look at http://Youtube.com/watch_popup?V=Lv15Gan69Wo
This will make your blood boil and give you a strong reason to change our governments leaders.

Rick, you are so right. Until we overturn the notion that corporations are people -- which Romney has clearly stated he believes is true -- corporations will continue to despoil the earth. Thank goodness I am 73 and will not have to witness the death of the oceans.

Actually, a corporation IS considered a "person" legally speaking. That is the very essence of the concept, and the very reason one can sue a corporation. Corporations have "Rights" as well as "Responsibilities" and it is the responsibility of our legal system to enforce both of these. If there are corporations that are raping the environment it is only because they are being allowed to by those that are charged with writing and enforcing our laws. That being said it seems that there are nonsensical laws in so many instances that it tends to destroy the validity of ALL the environmental movement. ANWAR is a prime example of the overkill. There are thousands of other absolutely ludicrous examples of how self-important government officials have taken a ridiculous position and obstinately refuse to reconsider it regardless of common sense screaming against their position. This has evolved into a situation of two camps of near fanatics, neither willing to give an inch of their notions of what is "the right thing to do". The situation needs to change, but I for one doubt that it ever will.

I have used Picassa for years, have edited literally thousands of pictures and I think quite highly of its capabilities. I do not believe there is any negative security considerations associated with the program.

The discourse here is all very interesting, but as most of the population knows, the Obama administration has proven to be a failure and is heading for the dustbin of history. We don't know for sure if BO actually ever believed the grand promises he made to get elected but once he made those promises he utterly abandoned them, so why would anyone believe him the second time around. You know the truism...Fool me once shame on you etc. He had two full years of unfettered control of all parts of the government and he squandered them playing golf and pushing the ridiculous Obamacare agenda. We gave him the opportunity to prove himself but sadly he blew it. On to the next President and hope and pray for the best to happen.

Anyone and I mean anyone that believes Obama is doing a good to excellent job at running the country is a dolt in the true sense of the word...........

Possibly: he is a great disappointment. But anyone who believes that there are any better choices on the horizon is arguably an even bigger dolt.

Cheers,

R.

Almost any business executive can and will do a better job then Obama has turned in. Romney could be a pleasant surprise just as Reagan was in his day. He has had a pretty decent track record at turning losing situations into winners so he is a better bet then 4 more years with Obama at the helm.

Just a little something-something to see if you left-leaning dolts would confront your hypocrisy…but alas apparently not………..

Substitute 'right' for 'left' and ask who is the dolt. You're just a cry-baby. Why not admit it?

Chers,

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.....Now children, play nice.
This is turning into a grade-school brawl, and you are embarrassing yourselves. Lets keep the conversation on a adult level.

Has America forgotten that this wrecked economy started with a Republican president? President Obama inherited this mess.

Incorrect. Clinton mandated sub-prime housing which started us down the slippery slope. Bush inherited Clinton's mandate... a snowball rolling us downhill.

double wrong - as a former mortgage fraud investigator i can attest that it was not Clinton - it was Reagan who started the slippery slope - Clinton didn't mandate sub prime mortgages that particular piece of financial trickery was created entirely by the mortgage industry - you know Countrywide, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan, Chase, Wells Fargo, Quicken.......

What Clinton did was he helped change the laws (with the help of Phil Graham) so that banks could more freely engage in highly leveraged and more risky investments.
quote=cheineck quote=NatureFan Has America forgo... (show quote)

Hmmmmm....it seems that it was Barny Frank and his cohorts that promulgated the policy of sub-Prime mortgages for all that wanted one regardless of credit-worthiness. Of course the banks jumped on the policy because the govt was taking on the risks. The Bush admin had warned of the huge risks a number of times but Frank refused to change the policy insisting that there was no danger inherent with the policy. Plenty of blame to go around there but just follow the money and who prospered by sucking up to the financing companys.... think of mansions in Ireland etc. There are darn few heros, and many scoundrels in politics.

It's not the party, but the person that is President. We have had good and bad Presidents with both parties.I'll admit Bush was not so good, but Obama is really worse then any in memory. Thats just my opinion, but that's all we all have to make that decision we vote on. Lets get back to photography !!!
