Funny. I thought it was just a common, (well here anyway) mistake and the writer couldn't spell properly.

Edit: actually, I still think that. The only reference Dr Google can find to that 'word' is here on UHH. So seems to me its just sloppy spelling

He ALWAYS SPELLS it and other words in hipster english

Par for the course with Perry and his ilk. Its their basic business model. We have plenty wannabees of that model right here on UHH. Just browse the thread titles to see that. So acoarst Perry is a darling guru to them.

You have already confessed to throwing a match into a gas can just to see what will happen. A big thank you for enhancing the sites advertiser ratings ! That topic is quite passe, a zombie "discussion", and therefor headed for about twenty pages here ;-)

It's unfortunate that we have the terminology we do in photography. "I'm going out to shoot some kids." "Be sure to get head shots."

When you out in public with people around, someone could call the police if they overheard that conversation. I try to avoid "shoot" and "shots," but it ain't easy.

Another thing is the names of cameras. Nikon had the F series - the FTN - and then they went to digital - Z 6. Why, oh why, did they put a space after the Z in the digital names? Z 6, Z 7? Look online, and you'll see them written with and without the space. And then they introduced the Zf and the Z fc. Did they run out of numbers? I've lost track of spacing in the Zf names. Nikon isn't the only camera company with bad model names. For companies with such clever people, they should be able to come up with consistent names that let the public know what kind of a cameras they are seeing.

I have to leave now and buy a microwave. I feel like we're cavemen here without a working microwave.

Hey all! Just got back from Alaska and saw all these BEAUTIFUL photos printed on metal. I was stunned! So I ordered Metallic photo paper from Red River to give it a try. Can’t really afford metal prints. I print my images using my Canon Pro 100. I haven’t had the time to use this paper yet but was wondering if any Hoggs have any experience using this paper? Thanks

I started using this paper about 6 months ago and wow, I love it. I use an Epson ecotank 8550 and the results are amazing.
I'll never go back.
I print sunsets, birds, mainly eagles. People are amazed that the 11 x14 prints come from a home printer

Why would a meter jump start a battery.

The only OEM battery that has ever failed for me was one that I mismanaged. I left it in a camera that doesn't get much use and it discharged to a level below the charger's acceptable start voltage. It is now seen as a battery with a bad cell which I cannot charge. Still trying to find an older off-brand charger to see if I can get it to work. But it may also be the protection chip in the battery blocking the charger, so I may just be out of luck and out a battery.

Several years ago, I bought a ProMaster battery that delivers power, but does not communicate properly with any of the cameras that it fits. My camera store was selling ProMaster batteries instead of Nikon at that time.

I don't know if this will work but when I had a drill battery not being able to charge I went to u tube and found if you took a good drill battery and briefly jumped it to the bad one it charged it enough to get passed the chip thinking it was dead. It actually worked. I would wear heavy protective gear and glasses in case it explodes. Google which electrodes are + and -
Look it up for drill or ower tool batteries and see
