Ha Ha! I think(in my mind) "Patina" describes what a used car body is showing or classic old furniture, but a "huge and powerful" train has RUST.

Steamtown in Scranton is correct. Without tons of money to work with,the restorations will take time.That said these machines are still beautiful even with all the rust.

Hi EJMcD that's a worthy feeling which I have as well, but all the trains in the photos will be returned to their former glory at the Scranton Train Museum.
