coj, sometimes that is enough, often times it is not. depending on the conditions may also lose considerable sharpness to diffraction losses.

That is what I've found too. Using my FF (Pentax K-1 mark II), if I stop down beyond ƒ/16 I get more DoF but start getting Diffraction. My Pentax Macro Lenses go to ƒ/32!

Since I went blind in my right eye and partially blind in my left, I gave up......but yesterday I asked myself WHY, My 7200 has a live view mode. I tried a few in manual but they weren't coming out good. So I switched it to Auto and got a few that were ok, but could still be improved on. Next I'll try P(rofessional). It's hard holding the camera still while the mirror does its job. Another thing that bothered me is the focus point kept changing, mostly to the right

Here's a few I took yesterday.

Those are beautiful. Who would know you have vision problems. You got great shots using Auto Settings. I have trouble shooting Flower close-ups on Automatics. I have to put my camera on a tripod and shoot on manual exposure and manual focus to get them the way I want.

It looks like we need an "ID Subject Section" for questions about members pictures of Plants, Animals, Rocks, Place since the "Section Police" are bothered by people seeking answers about the images aside from the Photographic.

I tried my application a few times and it finally spit out Agapanthus africanus White Lily-of-the-Nile. Seems that is about what others are getting.

What Phone or PC App are Hoggers using? Mine, PlantNet says "Not A Plant, Perhaps A Fungi". It does better with local, native plants, US South West.

Did anybody hear of an Aurora by Lake Erie, New York recently?
Did anyone take photos of it?

I heard from friends in the Los Angeles area that they could see and photograph the Auroras. I saw nothing, fog and cloud cover here at Grover Beach, CA.

Mirrors were part of the optical view finder system in both film and digital SLRs and was a significant source of the shutter noise. Most mirrorless camerals eleminated the mirror and rely on electronic view finder EVF to display the view through the lens; I say most because there are still other approaches such as range finder cameras. There remains the shutter which could be mechanical, electronic or both. I won't expand on the benefits and disadvantabes of each but the mechanical shutter, although not as loud as mirror slap, is not compleetely silent. Many if not all mirrorless cameras offer the option of providing audable feedback (a click) for the electronic shutter so you know the shutter has been released, obviously disabled in silent mode.

Here is a link to a Photography Life article on shutter types for more detailed information if curious:

Interesting article but no specific discussion of Canon, Pentax, or Fujifilm cameras. Fujifilm is a topic in itself. I have a X100T and it has several shutter modes!

You can't expect procedural and protocol precision from the OP, this is only their 3rd post since 2017.
