This challenge is about turning every day mundane objects, the things that you see and use everyday into extraordinary photos. Use light, angles, or contrast to create something visually interesting. Shot low, shoot high, shoot tight or rearrange the surroundings to benefit your subject(s). If you have a macro lens use it to your advantage. If you don't, use your lens to get the best depth of field to create a different perspective. Use lines, texutures and shadows. Some post processing can also be a benefit too. But most importantly, have fun with it and let your creative thoughts flow freely.
I found this challenge to be a bit challenging looking at items around my home with a different eye. But, I tried stepping out of my comfort zone and found I really enjoyed preparing it for you all. I hope you enjoy too.
I'll start with some of my kitchen items.
This challenge is about turning every day mundane ... (

Wonderful start, Johnna, and a refreshing way to step back
and try to see things differently!
It seems I have one doctors appointment after another this
week, so I'm not sure how much time I'll have to play, but
here are two I took some time back. Hope they fit your challenge.

Here is something I have been working on the last few days. If it don't fit the challenge let me know.
First picture lets you know what it is, in a frozen state. Ice is 12 inches long and around 12 inches in circumference.
#1 - Picture of what it is
#2 - Trying to get sunlight coming thru Ice with settings.
#3 - Different settings and added wording to remember what this season was like- a lot of snow and freezing rain.
#1 where it comes from - Exhaust port for furnace
(
Download)
#2 Broken off piece with TEMP. settings
(

#3 Holding in front of Sun to see light

#4 Turned 90 degrees - I see a hand with thumbnail
(

#5 The finish one I like the most.

Pg. 3 These are really neat Bob. I worked on something related to your subject this week too, but I'm saving my pics for the end of the challenge.
