I know, sometimes you just have to shot reality. It may become something else in the future, but for now, it serves as a reminder of my mother.

Speaking of how roots can pass through solid objects,
check this one out...the owner of this outdoor restaurant
put a potted ficus on top of his safe, and after many years
of constant exposure to the elements in Key West, the Ficus
grew through the pot AND the safe....
