So sad to hear about Greg, we just met him a few weeks back and he was a great character. We managed to film him for a short time and were hoping to have documented some of his adventures out in Big Cypress.

We added a short tribute and added his footage to our video on Loop Road, if not appropriate to post the link feel free to edit.

I really liked your video. The part where Greg talks about the panther is very telling. The look on his face and the huge smile lets you know how much he loved that area. Gary

Thank you for the wonderful tribute to Greg. The ending brought tears to my eyes. His presence here on the Hog will be missed. He was one of a kind as well as very kind.

So glad you all enjoyed it, the news really brought us a lot of sorrow. After meeting him at Lucky Coles place out on the Loop we simply fell in love with his photography and great character. True shame we missed out on taking his invite on going out on a adventure in the Big Cypress with him.

Many thanks for that great tribute to Greg, floridaree and it was such a loss to all his many friends. I always looked forward to his posts and had a number of conversations with him and just so hard to believe that he is gone. You mentioned the panther and can remember his first post after spotting it and talked about it several times with him. I had a phone conversation with him a few years back when we stopped in Everglades City and invited him to lunch but he was taking a party on tour and couldn't make it that day, and we planned to get together later but never quite made it. I do have three small copies of his work on canvas including the last one that he posted online. Farewell Greg, and will never think of the Glades without thinking of you! Thanks again, Floridaree and take care!

Sad to see one of the best bird photographers fly the proverbial coop. He will be sorely missed.
