It's good hard drives are getting less expensive. : )
Well it really sounds good but the price will be quite high I think for the body around $3999.00 to $4599.00?....but I’ll bet it will sweet professional camera I can’t wait to see it in Q4 As Jackie Gleason said How Sweet it is.
A joystick? Now that ought to get some of my grandkids' generation into photography! The gaming generation.
The beauty of the internet for spreading rumors!
Canon Watch lists Canon Rumors as its source.
I'm sure all the well known bloggers will pick it up and there will be 25 sources … so we'll know it must be true.

“reliable rumor” surely suggests oxymoron? 😎
It depends on how they begin:
"Once upon a time", or " Now this is no shit"

Only 25? Are the other 975 on vacation?
Meanwhile, I happily loaf along, totally content with my 24mp, anti-aliasing filter in-camera sensor vintage 2014 technology D750. Let the innovators continue to innovate; it is still the eye behind the viewfinder...

Interestingly, the site CHG_CANON referenced has an article that describes something very similar to what the OP suggests. Might be more than just someone's wish list.
Answered my own question. Disregard please.
I heard a rumor that Canon will be introducing a camera that doesn't even need a photographer! Can't wait to place my pre-order!!

The Rumor mill says the new Canon due around Q4 of 2019 will have 70+ megapixels, Ibis, dual slots and a joystick... Canon spokesperson said that Canon plans to stay at the top of the FF field. More to chew on for the next 6 months or so...... Let the speculation begin !
Probably have images in the 40+megabytes neighborhood also. Buyers will need to factor that in when buying cards and memory for their "puters".
I have a 5DS and my Dell "stock" desktop really has a time processing files produced by it particularly when there are more than one open at a time. When you add more load like another app, I.E. LR The hourglass next to the cursor gets a real workout.
For most, high megapixels will do little to improve your work unless you do a lot of 8'X10' posters.
In the end, for doing prints up to about 16"X24", I find my old 18mp Canon 7D makes images every bit as good as the 5DS. (at least to my old eyes anyway), while using up less processor capacity and disk storage space on my system. To me it's all about IQ and not the specs.
Rumors are that it will also have a microwave for popcorn and a chocolate milk dispenser! :)
In the meantime, I am getting the Canon RP. Did not like the layout of the R but love the RP. Ken Rockwell gave it a super duper review.

Even though I started this thread , I myself am seriously thinking of picking up a 6D to ease into FF in the sub 1000 range. A Great body at a Great price and my L lenses can now be used at their intended focal length. This is a crazy hobby.....

There was a low shutter count 5DIII posted here in the last week. I'd keep my eyes open for those types of postings.
