Interestingly, I think they are the single company that was bailed out that hasn’t paid back the U.S. taxpayer (still in the hole by about 11 BILLION).
The bankruptcy default laws here are quite elegant......sadly, we enabled GM’s failed strategy and they they still aren’t even close to right.
The Obama administration actually subverted US bankruptcy laws allowing GM and others to carry losses through their bankruptcy, the result is that GM was able to recieve an additional billions in taxpayer funding that no one ever talks about because the Obama MSM did their best to cover it up.
