These are snags from an article named "11 Tips for Incredible Flower Photography for an iPhone." Any idea how the backgrounds are achieved?

Thanks for ideas. (Needless to say, the article did not address these!)

My grandson just got a new iPhone and was showing it to me.when you take the picture one of the options is to blur the background and you can blur it as little or as much as you want and you can change the color it's just all it is is options on your screen

What I did once was buy some daffodils and shoot them against a tall, wide Italian Cypress that is in my front yard. Shooting in closeup mode the dark limbs showed as just dark, but had plenty of light to see the daffodils clearly.

I played around with this lily image in PS using some of the ideas from the thread. Here's the first try. Thanks to UHH, I off on a new digital photo adventure!

It’s an interesting image, kind of dreamy and ethereal. I’d also like to see it with a little more contrast with the background to showcase the flower better.

I'll give that a try tomorrow. I was going for monochromatic rose-ish.

Any suggestions where I can obtain background textures, either free or at least a reasonable price. I have some from Skylum but not a lot of them are the type I prefer. Some of the textures shown on this topic above are very suitable for my tastes.

Here are two sites:
https://www.pexels.com/search/texture/
https://unsplash.com/search/photos/texture

Do a Google search for free textures; they are out there. PM me if there was one of mine of interest and I'll help you create it yourself or try to remember where I obtained it.

Also, pm me one of yours you don't like. Tell me why you don't and I'll see if I can edit

Yes. See Stanee Rae's post in this thread (p3, top). The links lead to a site with 100s of textures for sale. Looks like they're about $4 each. BUT, note that the site makes a half dozen or so available for free. That link is also in Stanee Rae's post.

Well, shoot, I just saw Stanee Rae's 2nd post in this thread with many links. Sorry.

Inexpensive textures. Design Cuts gives a sliding discount (Create Your Own Bundle, 20-50% off) if you add 2-5 items to your cart.
