In random order, my long list would include: Anne Geddes, Annie Liebowitz, Brooke Shaden, Sue Bryce, Joel Grimes, Meg Bitton, Anna Brandt, David Bailey, Jerry Ghionis, Sarolta Ban, Scott Kelby, Scott Robert Lim, Greg Heisler, Bambi Cantrell, Roberto Valenzuela, Kelly Robitaille, Sal Cincotta, Joe Buissink, Susan Stripling...and the list goes on. It would be nearly impossible to pick just one.
I'm sorry, but I couldn't choose just one artist.
Annie Liebowitz, just look at her body of work. Color/B&W, portraits, landscapes (few), snapshots, centerfolds, you name it and she excels there.
Pete Turner, for his predominantly outrageous and oversaturated colors and textures of landscapes, walls and very few people.
Upfront I must admit that during the seventies Pete Turner caught my eye in the pages of Modern Photography and the many other photography rags during that time. Both Pete Turner and Annie Liebowitz produced their art prior to the digital age without the kind helpmates (crutches) of PS, LR and such that I (we) use today. I greatly admire these two folks that paved the way and so inspired us to think that someday we may also produce their level of art, sigh.
Ok, ok, I share the same last name as Pete, however that is the only thing that we share. . .
You know, Canon just came out with a brand new body and lens that just may. . .
