I have a Sigma 150-600 that I used on two different Nikon cameras and it's pretty obvious from the results that these results depend more on me and my use of the equipment than on the equipment itself. But that statement could probably be made for about any equipment on the market, provided the user is not some high end professional.
I had the job of comparing the image quality of a Sigma 180mm against my Canon 180mm macro lens several years ago. Using excellent technique with both lenses, I found the Canon delivered sharper images, but the difference was small. I kept the Canon, returned the Sigma, and still use that Canon 180mm macro today. Although I saw a slight difference, most would not notice unless they looked for it carefully and their photo technique is excellent. I think third-party lenses are bargains for the price difference and would not be afraid to use third-party lenses if saving money is crucial. Indeed, some zoom lenses are not offered by major camera makers, so you have no choice but to go with third-party. I have suggested to Canon to build some less expensive zoom lenses that offer 600mm in the range, like a 300-600mm f/5.6, but they continue to come out with lenses that cost three times more than the brand new Chevy pickup truck I bought in 1976. Go figure!

This is absolutely correct. It is pretty easy now with computers to build decent lenses. Normally the quality is more determined by the user than the photo gear.

I was quoting the angry photographer, to Bipod as Bipod claimed that we couldn’t find anything incorrect about the angry photographers’s claims. That claim is 100% wrong.
On his recommendations I have bought three lenses, thank goodness I stumbled across him, he saved me a couple of thousand dollars in Nikon equipment, choose Tamron G2 Series instead.

WHO CARES? There are people on the internet saying that the Clintons ran a child prostitution ring in a pizza store too. The sky is falling bud. You better duck.
So nothing on the internet can be true, I wouldn't put it past the Clintons who would say or do anything for money or sex. Washington and Hollywood is full of sex predators, they're sociopaths and lying is in their nature, so bad example. The internet is full of propoganda, but I don't think this guy's channel is in that category.

...he was "quoting" a quote. The previous poster was commenting on *another* post which had our Angry Photog giving out wall-to-wall good information.

You Tube's "Angry Photographer" says that Sigma lenses are all pure junk. End of story. Just junk. He also rarely even mention's Canon, and he often goes off topic into long rants. Any comments ??
I've seen exactly one of his videos...I found his language unprofessional, to say the least and I won't watch anything more he has online. Just my $.02.

I can call him a laundry list of bad words - but the catchall would be a self-serving loser, a joke. Jokes are entertaining but should never be taken seriously. He drives traffic to his sites to get clicks.

I do understand now and agree now. I don't think much of those that think like that. Must be why I don't follow the af!

I'm pretty sure some NIKON/NIKKOR lenses have been made by TAMRON.
I had a Tamron rep tell me that Tamron makes most of the Nikkor lenses...
