They freeze pizza to be somewhat inert. They should really remain in that state for eternity. Make your own pizza at home, it's not difficult.

When I was a teenager, my father and I did make pizza at home. I haven't made one since then. We used both mozzarella and cheddar cheeses for toppings. The dough was easy to make with water. I remember.

Another vote for "Home Run Inn". They are available at Sprouts sometimes on sale BOGO. The pizza parlor in Chicago where it all started has the best pizza I have ever had.

Sam's Club rising crust 7 cheese or Trader Joe's are the only frozen pizza that doesn't taste highly processed to me. I may be spoiled as I live in Brooklyn and have access to to some of the best pizza. Trader Joe's pizza is actually made in Italy. Sam's club pizza is available at a regular Walmart. All the others I've tried taste like they use ketchup, garlic powder, and some sort of orthopedic cheese to ME.

Live out in the country when I'm home in Texas so not a pizza place nearby. I pick up a DiGiorno when I go to the grocery. I have found it to be a decent frozen pizza.
Hawaiian and pepperoni are my favorites. Eat any leftovers cold for breakfast.

Ahhhh. New York Pizza. The best, the pizza experts say. Real Italian restaurant style too.

I will agree that NY pizza is great. Not sure about the "Real Italian Style" part.

First time I ordered a pizza in Italy, it was NOTHING like what Americans call pizza. They use very little sauce, and very few toppings, generally cooked in wood-fired ovens, and generally crispy style crust. I ordered an "American Pizza" near Naples thinking it might resemble what I was used to in the USA. It had a hot dog cut up on top of it! LOL

We occasionally eat a frozen pizza and one that we like is Digiorno’s Pan Pizza. They have several pizzas with a variety of toppings, just cheese, meat lovers, and a couple of others. They come in a tray that you place the whole tray in the oven to cook it.

I concur and I'm from NNJ if that helps. LOL

I thought I'd try a frozen pizza, but I'd rather not waste my money on junk. Do you have recommendations for a good, frozen cheese pizza - no pepperoni?

Papa Murphy's. They make it, you bake it. Pretty darn good.
They come wrapped w/ baking instructions. Don't see any reason they couldn't be frozen for later.

What???!!! Wash your mouth out with soap! If there is a good pizza joint near you buy your pie and break it up wrap it up, freeze it and reheat it in a slow oven. It will be 10X better.

Between marriages I consumed many Tombstone frozen pizzas—not reccommended, but cheap, greasy, salty, and crunchy.
That ended with the new wife.

Without checking I'd bet I have a dozen real pizza places , if not more, within a mile, all small local guys, all different, semi famous one about 5 blocks away, I have to walk past another to get to it. Pizza heaven, that's Staten Island.

Yes, I know! I used to live on Long Island - same situation. Fortunately, we have an excellent place one mile from my house. I'm just looking for a quick, cheap alternative - no phone call, no driving, no $15.
