I have done professional photography for over 40 years and only had one roll of film in my camera at a time. With digital I only have used one slot at a time for over 15 years. I have no need for an additional slot.
You surprise me. Most professionals I know used to carry at least two film cameras on assignment and process the two films separately to reduce the possibility of a developing error destroying all images.
Speaking as one who suffered the consequences of an irrecoverable, catastrophic memory card failure, I feel very safe in the reassurance provided by the D7200’s twin card slots.
