Isn't that when all the caution labeling on everything went into effect???

Actually the Styrofoam coffee cup between the legs in a "stick shift" is not the worst known. A Swedish company put labels on chain saws to not attempt to stop the moving chain with your hands or by putting it against your groin or leg. Now unless one of their lawyers did that after a nightmare/hangover/bad acid trip that means that someone...
