Welcome to Day 237 and "Seeing Music". I am looking forward to your interpretation of this theme.
"Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here". J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (1997)
I "see" music in many ways, especially from the viewpoint of a musician.
I see graceful lines of instruments and marvel at the craftsman's skill in creating something beautiful that produces sound
I see hands that know how to create sounds from black dots and lines printed on paper
I see someone's melody move from head and heart to paper so others can make a beautiful song too. I see a language of signs and symbols universally understood that transcends language barriers and ethnicity
I see history written in the form of sound
Curiosity leads me to see the manner in which an inanimate object produces sounds that bring life and enjoyment
I see hours of practice and years of lessons wrapped into a 10 minute performance of a life time.
Sometimes I see the sounds screaming past me in wild colors, thick layer upon layer, and seemingly making no sense at all.
I see music soft, delicate, wooing a lover
I've seen a beat up trumpet bring giggles of joy to a child when they can squeak out a sound
I see and feel the rhythmical peace of ocean waves
"Of all noises, music is the least disagreeable" Samuel Johnson
I see music as a team sport. Everyone has to know and play their part.
"Where words leave off - music begins" Heinrich Roy. Friendship is beautiful music.

Excellent examples... here is how I see music...
Every Thursday night at the music store around the corner they put on a concert and carshow called cars and guitars
music from an organ in a very old settlement school house
The music of a wave calling you closer
The song of a sunrise telling you about your day
it's going to be a golden day
And the lullaby the sunset sings you at night
sweet dreams
