I wonder when their ship date will actually arrive? I think it was on Kickstarter at least a year ago and they're still in the pre-order stage, at $175. Is it worth another $75 to wait until there are actual production units?

Andy

They're shipping and have been for months. As best I can tell from what I see is that they are taking pre-orders prior to manufacturing which isn't a bad way to go - paid in advance, no cash out of pocket, no warehousing, etc...

I didn't know that, gessman - I have yet to see a user review, but I wasn't all that interested in the product, so I haven't looked too hard.

I think I saw that they'd shipped 20k units by mid-November. What they have been doing is setting a pre-order deadline for so many units and when that's reached they start another batch. When they finished that 20k batch they were projecting that all orders would be filled starting in Nov but rather they started another batch of 10,000 and was down to just a few that hadn't pre-sold the last time I looked. I think they actually started shipping back in June or July from what I read. They seem to be playing it pretty smart with the marketing and delivery.

They have been shipping them out for quite a while now... like over 50000 shipped worldwide to date. They have been updating the firmware and the phone apps periodically. I got mine before December but have waited for the software to catch up with the hardware before doing extensive shooting with it. I did test the connectivity between my Canon 70D and the arsenal and it seems to work as advertised. Looks like the current ship date for orders is February 2019 per the Arsenal website.

Yow, when I said they'd shipped 20,000 by mid November, that was just for up to that point in November, not from the initial shipping date which was earlier.

My cameras and the apps I have let me do multiple shots for stacking but I have to bring 'em home and stack 'em.

Amazon - $110.00 https://www.amazon.com/Bescor-MP101-Video-Motorized-Head/dp/B008T17W9O/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1548866601&sr=8-8&keywords=motorized+tripod+head

Same one used by CamRanger but they have a module that gives you wireless over 100' while this one comes with a 50' cord with a control unit and you can add in another 50' extension for a few bucks more. Works like a charm but does require battery changes more often in cold weather - 4 AA's.

Of course, if you're real serious there's always the top shelf programmable gigapan unit of which I'm sure you're aware, $995.00 - http://www.omegabrandess.com/products/Gigapan/GigaPan-EPIC-ProV

Either one will allow you to set up at a waterin' hole and stay out of sight or maybe even in a "blind." Can have a lot of utility and at the same time, be a lot of fun if you like to shoot wildlife or nature in general.

Cool! I found one for even more money!

I could sit in my RV with the furnace on sipping scotch and still be a photographer!
