This could have been in the low light challenge - it's an Orcadian click mill that we visited a couple years ago. The only light was from the low door and all the equipment was in deep shadow at the back of the structure - I had to use an ISO of 5000.
Very interesting, Sue....love these places, wonderful history there

YIKE! Loads of wood, for sure!- work, too,Jim!
Work? When I retired I said that I'd no longer work so if I am doing something and it becomes work, I find something else. Truly a huge pleasure doing my wood project.

Sadly I was alone..thing is after this type of weather there is just too much beauty for me to see alone, I'd need someone with me to help me out
Thank you for sharing with us the beauty of the season...I to find it to be beautiful but unfortunately I don't like the extreme cold that goes with it so I only observe from either out the window or the windshield. However, once the temps are 40 degrees or above you can't keep me inside....neighbors laugh about all the times they see me waking up in the morning outback (usually fall asleep on the chair by the fire)! But that is one of the good things about being alone...you can do whatever you want when you want to! Again, thank you for all the wonderful pictures of your beautiful world!

Plus ! I've instituted a new SCR*, the Diagonal Bisector ;-)
*Stoopid Compositional Rule
Another new rule ...
or modification of a corollary of a guideline:
My personal "Rule of [Micro 4] Thirds, PLUS 1".
"Always set the third highest ISO available,
PLUS one more full step." In this case 12,800.
Went to my favorite place for playing photographer--Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in Central New Mexico. Had two great wildlife days.

Good that you are staying inside, Jim.
Drcjc, well posted and nicely captured series.
Bob I 41, put another log on the fire, well done.
Pg 12: What? You pulled the tree down and left the lights up??
Looks like another good reason to stay inside to me, Jim.
Nice, Sue, I love studying these old structures and facilities from days of old.
Pg 13: Ok, User ID, you say so, I’ll believe.
I took a class in "Copper Repousse" (forming a picture by pushing copper from the reverse side). Here is my Dragon.
Been busy sewing up "Soup Bowl Cozies" Made 12 at Christmas time & gave those away. Made another 8 and only have 1 left now. Time to sew up some more! (These are all cotton, so you can put them in the microwave with the bowl full of soup & warm it up. Take them out of the microwave by the "ears" so you don't burn your fingers).
Kissin' Cousin "Rudy" is a project I make up for the Shut-ins. There is a whole collection. Better start on the bunny for Easter!
