Many Bald Eagles stay year-round in different states and we have some of those here in Idaho. Then another
migrating Bald Eagle group will fly here or where-ever to feast on spawning salmon. When the spawning salmon die in 6-8 weeks, the Eagles fly somewhere else to feast on spawning salmon in other states. So, it's not necessarily the weather, but the spawning salmon seasons that influence where and when the Bald Eagles will migrate to.
