Handsome bird and very nice photograph. I saw 2 bald eagles last weekend here in Orange County, California...not a common sight. The population is expanding and they are slowly moving into the area. Unfortunately, I was just close enough to identify them perched atop telephone poles...maybe 300-400 yards away. While I got some ID pictures, nothing was as fine as your posting. Thanks for sharing. jak

Thank you very much, jak86094. Bald eagle populations are spreading in all 50 states. So, if they are not in your area, they soon will be as long as there is food for them to eat. They are a magnificent bird.
