Looks like a good configuration - I would personally consider changing the DVD drive to a BluRay / MDisk drive (which will read/write to CDs/DVDs as well). Minimal cost difference and the ability to archive to MDisks.

You haven't mentioned what photo finishing software (and other applications) you will be using. Adobe Photoshop would complete your photo editing system. Lightroom alone is insufficient for proper image finishing.
Using Adobe Premiere, I used to typically use a RAID 10 - so you had a striped pair of drives for performance and mirrored for redundancy without the need to manage parity. This is a very fast setup for video editing. The rest of the system is more than adequate for what you want to do. But I would check with Puget Systems to see if they have any better suggestions for a system for you, based on all the software you will be using.

In His second sentence He said, "I will be using
Light Room and Adobe Premiere Pro CC". By the way, that will make an excellant system depending on what motherboard You will be using.
Make sure you have an OPEN GL of at least 3.4 or higher . Topaz has some programs that require an OPEN GL of 3.3 or higher as well as other programs.

The nvidia 1070 video card has all of that and then some. Just make sure You go to Nvidia's web site and download the latest WHQL drivers.
That sounds like my machine. It should be more than enough for almost anything. What brand?
My only suggestion is to substitute an SSD for the hard drive. Boot time, upgrades, and downloads are soooo fast.
Ken S.
Overall, good choice and should support all you want to do.
you have the SSD for your main boot/program drive. That should keep everything fast.
My only suggestion, as stated above, is to add a 2nd 2T HD, and configure the pair in a RAID configuration. All drives WILL fail. Just a matter of time. This will protect your data. You don’t need faster for this (ie. I don’t agree that the HD needs to be SSD)
Excellent setup. For ease of image transfer, consider adding the HP 15-in-1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 5.25/3.25" Internal Media Card Reader $50 B&H
Good build...
I'd use Win10 Pro and a 2080Ti Video Card (nearly the same as my new desktop). For data storage a mechanical drive is good (and do backups; nothing is forever, earthling). I was going to use a SSD in addition to the M.2 and my son suggested using a second M.2, both 512GB PCIe. If given a choice, applications are installed on the second M.2 with OS, drivers, etc. on the first.
Should have added that there are some programs that 'stress test' a build... processor, memory and video card. Run these for a while to see that things are 'solid'. If a hardware failure, it will likely occur within the first week or two, else build will likely last for years.
